The World Cup at CrowdScores

World Cup: Russia 2018

It seems like forever since we watched Germany lift the World Cup in 2014. We saw Mario Gotze score his 113th minute winner, Brazil got embarrassed 7-1 by the Germans and England did not even reaching our own low expectations of them. But once again, hopes have been renewed, the national team shirts are out of the wardrobes and excitement has set in once again for the world’s greatest tournament!

Here at CrowdScores, we are just as excited and we have a lot in store to come over the upcoming 31 days of football!

Within the App

We will be giving you the scores and incidents from every World Cup game as they happen by the second. Whether there’s a yellow card in the Egypt v Saudi Arabia game or the decisive goal in the Final, you can help this happen! You can contribute goals, lineups, cards, substitutions and much more.

As well as making your mark on the app through contributions, you can also talk to fellow World Cup enthusiasts on the comments tab, whether it be about the game or the tournament. You will get to meet like minded individuals who are passionate about the game.

Community

Why not join in with the CrowdScores community and get involved with some of the activities we are participating in? FIFA have released Fantasy Football and a Prediction competition, in anticipation of the World Cup. We have set up our own CrowdScores leagues so that everyone can compete against each other. You can discuss tactics or brag about differential picks within the comments section of the app!

Later on in the summer, we will be also hosting our very own FIFA tournament amongst our users as well! Over the coming weeks, a tournament will start within the CrowdScores community (staff included!) to see who is the ultimate FIFA champion.

Join us on CrowdScores and get involved with the best tournament in the world!

iOS 4.2.4 Update Now Available

Posted by | App News | No Comments

iOS version 4.2.4 with improvements to the CrowdScores Community released this week.

As the community grows in the app, we are always looking to improve the experience for our users. So we have used your feedback and this week we have begun to roll out an update to iOS.

Moderators

As the community expands, it becomes a lot more difficult to monitor all the chats and find people who are being detrimental to the community and spoil it for everyone else with abusive behaviour or spamming.

We have recruited six users with a good track record of reporting and conduct within the community to help CrowdScores moderate the comments section of the games. They will also be there to give feedback and improvements to the team, which will help the community become a better place.

User Profiles

You asked for them, we listened! We are happy to announce that user Profiles are coming to iOS. When the profile picture of the user is clicked, it will come up with a user profile card, showing contributions, comments and likes count.

We also have made major improvements in the performance of the app. The app will run a lot smoother and faster when it comes to a busy matchday.
